Superman- My Life Right now

This morning, as I was driving my boys to work, the song Superman by Goldfinger came on. At first, it was just background noise—a high-energy ska-punk track I’ve heard countless times. But this time, it hit me differently. It felt like the soundtrack of my life right now.

On the surface, Superman is fast, chaotic, even playful. But when you really listen, the lyrics cut deep. They speak to exhaustion, to living a life where you’re always in motion, trying to hold everything together while secretly wishing you had superhuman strength.

That’s me.

I’m a father of three, an entrepreneur building something from the ground up, and a law student trying to carve out a future that protects and uplifts others. Every day feels like a balancing act—kids, business, growth, responsibilities, and the quiet pressure of wanting to be everything for everyone. It’s easy to fall into the illusion of being Superman. Indestructible. Unshakable. But the truth? I’m not.

And maybe that’s okay.

Goldfinger’s Superman reminds me that strength isn’t about being flawless or invincible. It’s about showing up, again and again, even when you’re tired. It’s about letting my kids see not just the “wins,” but the struggles too—the grind, the setbacks, the times when I fall short and still keep pushing. That’s the lesson I want to pass down to them: you don’t need to be Superman to be enough.

What I love most about this song is that it mirrors the energy of life itself—fast, messy, unpredictable, but full of moments of truth if you’re willing to listen. This morning, that truth was simple: I may not be Superman, but I am Dad. And that’s more than enough.
